What periods are covered?
The range above is what each source reports, not what it promises. A filing appears here once the agency publishes it: the Clearinghouse and the IRS both publish in batches, so the newest period is usually incomplete.
What does a blank mean?
- Federal Audit Clearinghouse: A blank is what the filing left blank. A missing amount is never shown as $0; each field carries a coverage status.
- IRS Exempt Organizations Business Master File: Only nonprofits that also appear in the Clearinghouse data are kept; the extract itself covers every exempt organization.
- IRS Form 990 e-file: Only returns the IRS published as e-file XML. A paper filer has no row, which is not the same as reporting nothing.
- Publicly posted solicitations: Read from the issuer's own page. A solicitation whose deadline cannot be quoted from that page is not listed at all.
- Contact checks: Whether the contact the organization filed with FAC also appears on its own site. No address or phone number is stored by this check.
How often does each source update?
The cadence column is what we run, not what the agency guarantees. Every figure on this site carries its own date, and every row links to the filing it came from.
